About Us
Mile High HBCU Weekend, Inc. is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving the historic legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) while expanding access to educational opportunity across our state.
What began as an annual weekend celebration has grown into a year-round movement connecting alumni, empowering students, and strengthening community through education, mentorship, and partnership.

No! Mile High HBCU Weekend is open to everyone. If you support the mission, culture, and legacy of HBCUs, we want you there. Our events welcome students, alumni, professionals, families, and community members—you don’t have to be an HBCU graduate to celebrate and participate.
Our inaugural Mile High HBCU Weekend takes place August 21–24, 2025, across multiple locations in the Denver Metro area.
